At Taylor’s International School (TIS), we recognise that the early years of a child’s life are fundamentally important to building opportunities for creative skills and instilling a love for learning. At TIS, we offer the International Early Years Curriculum (IEYC).

Both TIS campuses have been recognised for their high-quality implementation of IEYC by the International Curriculum Association (ICA). This recognition shows our teachers' deep commitment and dedication to providing the highest quality of teaching for the programme.

The IEYC is based on the latest international research about the best practices in Early Years education. Led by trained teachers in Early Childhood Education, we prepare young learners for a journey of wonder and self-discovery. We also introduce them to English, Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin through fun and motivating activities.

Our Amazing Learning Process

The IEYC has four Learning Strands. Each IEYC unit of learning is carefully designed around a central theme, holistically linking all the Learning Strands in delivering relevant and engaging activities that can be adapted to meet each child’s learning needs. The Learning Strands describe what children will experience and learn through the IEYC units of learning.

The IEYC process of learning places children and their interests at the heart of learning. It captures children’s natural curiosity as a starting point, and within an enabling environment, children are engaged in planned and spontaneous activities and interactions.

We expose our young learners to learning three languages in an engaging and immersive environment. Besides English as the mainstream learning language, Mandarin and Bahasa Malaysia are introduced through music, storytelling, art and interactive dialogue sessions. With fun-filled activities, we create an ideal stage for young learners to learn new languages.

Stimulating Environments

At TIS, learning happens at any time and anywhere. Interactive learning spaces are made available for the children to enjoy their lessons while encouraging them to collaborate, explore and express their creativity.

Parent Involvement

At TIS, we believe in constant open communication between the school and parents. Using the See Saw app, parents can now have one-to-one conversations with teachers and receive updates on their child’s progress on a real-time basis. The school also shares important information through the app, in addition to the parent portal and newsletters. Coffee mornings and parent workshops are hosted regularly to help parents understand more about the school's teaching and their child’s learning.
