Puchong, 5th September 2017 - Taylor's International School Puchong (TISPC) welcomes Mr. David Flint as the new principal for its campus starting from Term 3 onwards.
Mr. Flint's early pursuit in education began after he served in the Royal Air Force in Europe and Hong Kong. He is a graduate of Staffordshire University, UK (BA (Hons)) and of the University of Hong Kong (MA and MSc) and began his educational training as a Teacher of Geography and, later Learning Technology Developer for King George V School, Hong Kong (ESF). After completing his second Master's Degree in Information Technology in Education, he moved to Prague, Czech Republic where he worked as Director of Studies at the English International School (A Nord Anglia Education PLC school) before moving to Dubai where he served as the Headmaster for the Senior School at Repton School.
His journey as an educator moulded his belief in the value and importance of learning: "Empowerment, understanding and kindness are the keys to success. We must embrace the truth that everybody has a skill and we should be trusted to use and develop it further," shared Mr. Flint.
As the new principal of Taylor's International School Puchong, Mr. Flint's determination speaks volumes when he shares his top priorities for the new term. Aside from meeting his new colleagues, getting to know the students and parents are also his number one agenda.
"One of my top priorities is understanding the challenges and aspirations for both children, parents and the school. Nurturing and developing the children's school experience is crucial. We need to ensure that we are doing our best to produce well-rounded, caring and globally aware individuals," Mr. Flint highlighted. He also sets his focus on exploring existing plans and developing ways to celebrate excellence further.
As a leader with a clear vision in seeing every student graduating from Taylor’s as a global citizen with strong values, confidence and academic excellence, Mr. Flint's enthusiasm in raising the bar in international education is apparent as he supports his vision with steps to achieve it. While offering premium education at a competitive price, he also has the interests of the students and staff clearly in mind. He believes that in order to improve holistic learning in school, it is a joint effort among all staff in learning not only from each other and between Taylor's Schools but also on a national and global level.
