Kuala Lumpur 7 November 2022- Taylor’s International School Kuala Lumpur managed to raise over RM35,000 for six charities through their Food and Games Carnival. In another project, together with the Puchong campus, 148 Macbooks were donated to a total of 12 homes and non-profit organisations. This project’s aim is to help equip the underprivileged children with laptops for learning. One of the non profit organisations that received 30 of these devices was the Human Aid Selangor Society, a learning centre for refugee children from Myanmar and Indonesia.
These projects were an initiative from the school, named Care-Mvmt - where students and the school community come together to organize events and activities to help and care for the community around them. Breaking into three main components, this initiative focuses on caring for others who are less fortunate, caring for mother earth and also focusing on self care. The focus of the projects this year is to help others by helping to provide what they need. The six charities are in need of funds to continue on helping their mission and the Human Aid Selangor Society refugee children are in need of devices to aid in their learning.
