- Welcome Back and Exciting Times Ahead
Dear Parents and Guardians,
A Warm Welcome and Happy New Year!
I am delighted to extend a warm welcome to the start of the 2025 academic year. As your new Principal, I am honoured to join this vibrant and successful school community. I am eager to collaborate with you and contribute to the continued growth and success of our students.
This term, we have welcomed 133 new families to our school family. We are thrilled to have you join us and are committed to providing a supportive and nurturing environment for your children. We also warmly welcome 14 new members to our dedicated staff, bringing with them fresh perspectives and expertise.
Preparation for the Start of Year
In preparation for the beginning of the school year, staff have been diligently preparing to ensure a seamless and positive start for all our students. In addition to setting up classrooms and resources, we have focused on professional development to enhance teaching and learning practices. Training sessions were held on empowering teams, safeguarding, providing better cognitive challenges for our learners in secondary, phonics and maths in primary, as well as induction for new hires. Last week, we held a team-building session at Sunway Lagoon to strengthen collaboration and camaraderie.
Our facilities department has also been hard at work enhancing our learning environment. Enhancements include the installation of shade sails over the swimming pool, replacement of artificial grass on the walkway, a fresh coat of paint for the building, and the relocation of counseling rooms to the more spacious third floor.
Prioritising Student Health
To keep our school safe and minimise the spread of viruses, students should stay home if they
have a fever of 38 degrees Celsius and above, vomiting, diarrhoea, an undiagnosed rash, or
respiratory infections. Please remember to inform your child’s homeroom teacher when your child
is away from school. For diagnosed communicable diseases, a doctor’s note confirming they are
not contagious is required before returning.
Looking Ahead: Building a Strong Partnership
I am excited to get to know our students, parents, and the wider school community. In the coming weeks, I will be dedicating time to observing, learning, and actively listening to feedback from all stakeholders. I believe that open communication and strong collaboration between parents, staff, and students are key to achieving our shared goals.
To that end, I would like to invite you to an information session where I will share the school’s goals for this year. This session will be held on Friday 17th January at 08:00am in the auditorium. If you would like to attend, please register using this link [Information Session with Ms Jane Kuok, TISPC Principal] by Wednesday 15th January, 12:00pm.
Thank you for your continued support and trust in our school. I am confident that together, we will achieve great things this year and beyond. I look forward to meeting many of you in the coming weeks and working together to make 2025 an extraordinary year for our students.
