This is the last newsletter of the term as we are entering a two week holiday so that everybody can recharge their batteries and all families can spend some quality time together. For now, traveling is obviously still only allowed in specific cases but I hope that this will not stop all of us from enjoying this break.
A few weeks ago, The Taylor’s Education Group made a point of explicitly thanking all personnel from the Taylor’s schools for the work they carried out during these Covid times, implementing the SOP’s and repeatedly switching between online and live teaching. The pandemic affected all schools from a human perspective and a business perspective. The group recognised that its people were paramount in getting through those difficult times.
I just want to echo that message and shout it from the proverbial 'rooftops'. Working with the teachers and fellow leaders, I witnessed everyday how much extra everybody invested to keep the learning ongoing at all times. The level of creativity and resilience was impressive, the level of communication increased substantially and our people’s willingness to keep improving the programme was second to none. It reminded me again of just how special this group of people are and how privileged I personally feel to be working with them. They have exceeded my expectations and I thank them profoundly for this.
When we return, I expect all SOP’s to still be necessary and in place. This means that we will continue to offer our children the safest environment we can possibly create. I do hope that the virus situation will change soon and that we can welcome all our parents back in the school building once again. Until such time, it was wonderful to see so many parents joining us online for the latest IPC exit points; I could see how much that meant for our children!
On behalf of the entire team here, we wish everyone a pleasant break. We are looking forward to welcoming the children back on Monday the 26th of April. Stay safe, take care.
