This week we have continued our training and preparations for upcoming MSSD tournaments that are taking place next week.
Our swimming and Volleyball teams have been in full flow preparing for their tournaments next Thursday and Friday which are for our under 18 teams. This will be the first time ever that we have sent a Volleyball team to MSSD therefore preparations have been at an advanced stage.
From next week onwards our fixtures properly begin for MSSD, AIMS and KL Sports League. We are extremely excited for the teams we have collated since beginning our trials a few weeks ago and cannot wait to get our fixtures started. For the first time ever we have an age group that have 4 teams (Mr Zul’s Basketball boys)! This is fantastic news as our primary aim this year is to be an inclusive sports international school providing all students with opportunities to participate in competitive sports representing the school no matter what level of ability they have. We are well on our way to achieving this, breaking records as we go along.
As well as the sports, our new IGCSE Physical Education cohort of 22 students have got off to an excellent start, learning all about anatomy and physiology in the theoretical aspect of the course. They have also begun their weight training programmes which they are excited about and are trying extremely hard in. It’s been a bright start and we expect and hope for this to continue.
