Dear Parents,
This is the last newsletter of the term and my, what a long term it has been. We have seen so much in little time, from the full implementation of online learning to the gradual reintroduction of school. What a blessing that has been! Since I last wrote to you, the school is back in session fully and I have to say that things seem to be going well under the new norm.
As I have stipulated previously, we are strictly following the guidelines of the MOE and social distancing is being rigorously adhered to. Your children, our students are safe and their learning has continued throughout. I am very very impressed by our students who have taken the new norm into their stride and are enjoying lessons once again. The teachers are doing a marvellous job in teaching and keeping the students interested in their learning. It is however difficult when the children have to be in their classrooms all day as under the present SOP they should remain in their ‘bubble’ as much as possible. This means that any outside sport or movement has been curtailed. Here again the teachers are providing time for exercise, time to stretch legs inside the classroom. Also you should be aware of how many teachers are helping the school in ensuring the ‘new norm’ is being kept. Many are coming very early to ensure that classes and entry points. I thank the staff wholeheartedly for their commitment.
Lastly, I would like to thank you, parents very much. One of my biggest concerns was the drop off and pick up times, but overall these have gone very smoothly. I have to thank you for your patience and your cooperation. If I were to ask for one favour, it would be that as much as possible, please keep to your time and don’t come earlier as by doing so this blocks the pathways for the classes being released earlier. Apart from this, thank you for your help and support to make pick up and drop off work well.
It leaves me to just wish you a happy and enjoyable Happy Raya Aidiladha and holiday with your family.
