Dear Parents,
Subsequent to my newsletter last week I commence the first official newsletter of Term Two by saying hello and welcoming you all once again, but in particular to our new starters. I do hope that you are settling in quickly and well.
The term has started very well with about an 85% attendance face to face and 15% online. In both cases it has been great to see students engage with teachers and with the learning that is going on. This week we had a variety of entry points in Primary and the start of the First Language exams commence in Secondary.
As a reminder to all parents please do not drop off your children too early in the mornings. Please be aware that staff are officially on the premises at 7:30 and while we do have staff before they are not necessarily able to look after early drop offs.
I am also pleased to announce that TIS Puchong is rolling out a Parents Referral Programme. This means that if you are able to refer a friend or family then you can earn a rebate on your child’s tuition. For more information, please refer to the

I also take this opportunity to tell you about our sister school Nexus International School. They are currently offering bursaries exclusively for Taylor's International School IGCSE leavers who are looking to embark on the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma journey. So for those of you in Year 10 and in Year 11 who are researching on what to do after IGCSE’s exams please use the link below.
The IB Diploma is a prestigious, internationally recognised qualification which prepares learners for entrance into top universities worldwide. More information about our IBDP programme and our outstanding IBDP results is available here:
https://www.nexus.edu.my/learning/ib-diploma On another note we have recently joined an e-platform allowing our primary and secondary students to be able to access and borrow many more books than previously. This product has started in Malaysia in the last two years and there are some local schools using e-Platform and finding it very convenient. With 1,600 titles in three major languages (Bahasa Malaysia, English, and Mandarin), the eBooks are convenient to use and available 24/7 even when the physical school library is closed. The e-books and audiobooks that are available are those that have been trending in the market for upper primary and secondary levels. On top of the popular titles, they have 1500 Gutenberg titles which are the classics, the users can have multiple copies for these titles to be used in the classroom for English literature.
All the best and have a safe and happy weekend.
Stefano Piumatti
Principal of Taylor’s International School Puchong
