Dear Parents,
I write to you again this week reiterating my note to you from last week to say welcome back again. It is wonderful to be back for the whole week and for the whole school and for the foreseeable future. It was a lovely week, it was calm and, in many ways, it was business as usual. The good thing about having started back at school a few weeks before the end of Term 2 was that we could practice the new norms. Walking around this week from the start of the day to the end of the day I would say that we are all in a routine now and the school community knows what to do. I have to thank you dear parents for your cooperation and my teachers for their hard work and efforts they have put into making this work, and also the students who make the job much easier.
Looking ahead, the good news is that the MoE has brought out regulations regarding physical activity and PE is to commence next week, though at the moment we do not have any news on swimming or ECAs.
In addition, I ask for your patience as I know that on some days pick up time can be challenging with traffic queues. We are looking at ways of lessening the problem but it is a logistical conundrum. This is why I ask for your patience.
Lastly, as you know Monday is a public holiday and today, Friday, the Secondary school is celebrating Merdeka Day as best as it can. Some of our students and teachers are coming in their national splendour and I know that I will be donning one of your beautiful Batik shirts.
Happy National Day.
