It has been a great start to the term, even though we are continuing to be learning from home, we are delighted to see the classes back up and running for this final term of 2021.
This is going to be a very busy term, packed with learning experiences to build up towards the annual examinations for all Year groups. The IGCSEs will be starting in October and that leaves only a few short weeks of examination preparation time for the Year 11s.
We have some updates from the MoE regarding vaccinations for students and the phased return to school for examination students starting in October.
Regarding the vaccinations, please ensure that all Secondary parents complete the Google form that has been sent to you via email and can also be accessed from the respective Google Classroom you are connected to by September 14th. We will be passing this information on to the MoE for their follow-up and we will be expecting information in return from them on the next step of this program.
Mr. Gary met with the Student Council this week who have been planning for a few school activities and supporting the development of the School Yearbook.
As for the annual examinations, due to the online restrictions and limitations, we have adjusted the date to try to give all learners a little more examination preparation time. A separate email will be sent to all Secondary parents with updated dates for these, essentially they are rescheduled from September to October.
We had some great feedback from the Wednesday family interactive activities organised by the House Coordinators. Following this feedback, we decided that we would continue to plan for these times in the same way for this term, specifically, look out for an amazing fun dance activity coming your way very soon, going to be so much fun.
I trust that everyone is keeping safe and wish everyone a great happy Merdeka Celebration.
