After going online in January, our school has now been given confirmation that all ages can now join our Early Years children and our Year 11 students at Bukit Puchong 2 from the 8th of March. This is indeed good news as we know that, although online learning has been going really well, there is no comprehensive substitute from actually being able to learn together in one building. Apart from the academic benefits, I am also certain that our learners have been awaiting the moment they can be reunited with their teachers and fellow students again. The social emotional connection is an important part of any learning community and children need to be connected to further develop their social-emotional skills.
When children return to school, please rest assured that, just like before, we will enforce all the SOP’s to ensure our community can be as safe as possible when on the school grounds. As already mentioned, online learning will still be available. This will be offered to those who depend on it as well as for those families who decide to stay at home just a little bit longer. We can’t wait to welcome you all back in school and continue our learning journey together.
Today our Mandarin Team organised a fantastic 'Online Chinese New Year Celebration'. Even though we are not back to normal quite yet it is important that we continue to celebrate our diverse school community and enjoy each other's cultural celebrations. It was lovely to see children within each age group, from Early Years to Year 6, speaking Mandarin and passing on their wishes of hope for the Year of the Ox. I would like to thank the Mandarin team and all the children that took part for their hard work creating such a special event today, well done! Gong Xi Fa Cai from everyone at Taylor's Puchong.
