Dear parent,
The good news as you will know by now is that as announced by the Government, all schools will be open on Monday 8 March. This means that TIS Puchong campus will once again be open for classroom learning and teaching. I want to stress to those of you who want to keep your sons and daughters at home may do so and a hybrid model will be in place in which they can access the classes going on in real time. More details about this and a reminder of the SOPs and pick up and drop off will be forwarded to you next week by the Heads of Section. I am delighted that we can resume full school once again and I am certainly hoping that this will be the situation henceforth.
As previously mentioned in an earlier newsletter, Secondary students can now bring in their laptop or tablet that they have been using at home. As they are used to their device it makes sense that it will aid their lessons in class. This is in order to assist a seamless transition back to lessons in school. We tried this out last July to October and the Year 11’s have also been using their devices. As a result we have relaxed this policy.
I continue to thank you for your support and cooperation over these last few weeks. Please be assured that we will adhere to the strict SOPs that we have had in place and our robust action. Bear in mind that the MOH/MOE have twice visited us and twice given us the green light. They are more than happy with our compliance of the regulations. I also want to thank my teachers for their hard work over the last few weeks with online lessons. They have done a great job however I am sure you will agree with me that face-to-face is the best way to go. I look forward to seeing your sons and daughters on 8 March and we can resume with a modicum of normalcy.
Have a good weekend
