We have been extremely successful this week with Benchball, Volleyball, Basketball and Football fixtures taking place.
On Tuesday our Basketball under 11 girls travelled to TIS Kuala Lumpur. Mr Zul’s team have trained hard and this showed with their two wins against HELP International School and TIS Kuala Lumpur. These victories meant that we finished with a silver medal! A fantastic achievement for the girls.
As well as this, our Football under 15 boys development team hosted their KL Sports League bowl finals. Some indifferent first two results meant that they had to win their last group match against TIS Kuala Lumpur by two goals...and they did it! Winning 3-1 resulted in qualification for the semi finals. This proved to be a step too far as Mutiara International School won 2-0 but in the 3rd placed play off the boys stepped up their game winning 2-0 and coming away with a bronze medal! A proud moment for Mr Mark’s team.
On Wednesday Tenby International School came to us for Volleyball under 18 fixtures in preparation for our upcoming KL Sports League finals next month. Mr Mark’s girls played excellently, back to their best winning 4-0 whilst the boys, led by Mr Wasim, played hard against a very competent Tenby team eventually losing some tight matches 3-0.
Also on Wednesday was our Benchball under 9 round 1 KLISS tournaments. Our teams played excellently, our boys beating all three of their opponents resoundingly as did the boys. This all means that both teams will play the cup finals next month which is fantastic. We look forward to hearing how they get on.
Unfortunately on Thursday our Football under 13 boys and girls tournaments were cancelled due to weather. These fixtures will likely take place on Wednesday 13th November back at Nexus International School.
For those players and parents who are part of the Phuket 7’s trip in November, there is a google classroom to join to find out all the latest information and to ask any questions that come to mind. The code is tb4s8j3. There will be constant reminders and information given out on this classroom for the next month until we leave for the tournament.
