I would like to start this week’s newsletter by thanking parents for the positive manner in which everyone approached the current weekly testing regime for TIS Puchong.
On Monday the system worked very well, and students quickly and efficiently came into school. This is a very important part of reinforcing a safe environment for the school. It does not replace the SoPs of wearing masks, using sanitiser and keeping a physical space to others around you, but it is a very good addition. We are all in this together and a community like TIS Puchong relies upon the integrity of this approach to keep us all safe.
The MoH has now adapted its recommendations about close contact quarantine. For adults there are large changes but we will be testing adult close contacts daily to make sure that they do not develop the virus. For children the isolation periods are still in place but have been reduced. We are continuing to be careful with positive cases in school and have the safety and health of all users of the school campus at the centre of all decisions.
Please monitor your email regularly. We will be sending messages to close contacts when we have confirmed cases. I apologise in advance that sometimes this will be in the evening but this is when we are alerted to them.
Stay safe
