It has been an amazing couple of weeks in Secondary with perhaps the highlight being the Dance event where the whole school community has been involved. I have to again thank Gabriel for his passion and leadership in this area, such an amazing initiative that has brought many smiles and great experiences to the school community of TIS Puchong.
Additionally, the Primary Year 6 students have participated in a transition day that gave them the opportunity to experience Secondary lessons and follow a secondary timetable for the day. I was able to meet with them at the end of that long day and was delighted to see that they had a great time. There are more transition activities planned in the next few weeks and I am sure that the Year 6 students will continue to benefit from this experience.
I will also give you a quick update on the house point front;
The total points scored for the event hosted by Gabriel ( Dance Event Competition) is attached below:
- Red House : 3360 points
- Blue House : 2970 points
- Yellow House : 2540 points
- Green House : 1590 point
WOW! Amazing effort from all of you in the Red House, well done :), certainly set up a tough target to reach for the others.
We have also had more information from the MOH concerning the student vaccination program. I know that many of you will be aware of this as you would have received information from the school that would direct you accordingly. Briefly;
· This first vaccination program is for students who are aged 16 and 17 years of age only.
· We have not received any information or details concerning the vaccination program planned for students 15 and under.
· If your son/daughter is aged 16 or older, you will have received information about this program if you replied positively to the survey that was sent from the school.
· If you did not reply positively to that survey then your details were not sent to the MoH and therefore will not have received details of the vaccination.
· If you have not received any vaccination details and still wish to proceed, you may need to continue to register using the MySejahtera app if you wish your child to obtain an appointment for the Covid-19 vaccination.
We will endeavour to guide parents accordingly, if you have enquiries, you can contact the school, however, we are subject to the MoH guidelines and can only advise you from the directions they provide to us.
Finally a reminder that Monday 27th September, all Year 11 students will be off timetable to facilitate the vaccination program for that day. Teachers can be contacted via their respective Google Classrooms for any support required during that day.
