This week’s title for our little write-up should surely be ‘Smiling Faces’ as we welcomed our EY students back on Wednesday morning. After a long physical absence from their friends, their teachers and their beloved environment, our youngest learners were allowed to return to school. Our teachers had prepared their classes in anticipation and there was a noticeable buzz of excitement as they were waiting for the first children to be dropped off. The smiling faces of teachers and children were definitely matched by the joy on Ms. Nienke’s face. She clearly had been waiting for this moment for some time too. That is not where the smiling ended. The parents who were dropping their children off also seemed happy at the prospect of their children experiencing learning in school again. So, in short, smiling faces all around as we welcomed our EY children back in school. Hopefully other ages can join soon as well!
As before, parents have still been given the choice to keep their children online if that holds their preference for now or if that is what their situation dictates. This will also be the case for the next classes when they will be released for opening up. We also continue to adhere to all SOP’s and have extra measures in place to keep all children as safe as possible. We would also like to confirm that all of our members of staff on the premises have been fully vaccinated.
The school’s leadership has just received the results of our parental satisfaction survey for 2021. We will discuss how to best feedback the results to you, but let me start by thanking all the parents who took time to give us this valuable feedback. We will always strive to improve how we serve our community but I must admit that the results did put us into a celebratory mood. This certainly was a clear confirmation that we are on the right track which feels enormously encouraging. Just to give you a flavour, satisfaction rates in EY and Primary were already at a high level and have still been rising over the last two years, with the last jump being a 5% rise to 90% in Primary and an overall 93% in EY. A very high result. Thank you to all our parents for their continuous trust in us and thank you EY/Primary team for making this happen. The amount of work and the level of creativity and dedication you have put in is truly benefiting our families and our children!
