Dear parent,
This is the second week into the second lockdown and just a brief report to say that we have been working very hard to provide the online learning and the examinations for Year 11 students. There has been some uncertainty with the new rules of the new MCO that our staff have had to deal with and we have been working around the clock to make sure that all is in place for our teachers and students. Today we had the biggest cohort of Year 11 exams so far, which was mathematics, and all went well. We hope that there will not be any further surprises and that the rest of the exam period will go smoothly.
I am seeing a lot of good online learning where students are engaged and are participating well. There is no doubt that teachers have adapted well to this form of teaching and are continuing to provide interesting lessons. I have seen a lot of interesting and thought-provoking material that has been presented to the students. As I said in last week's newsletter, we are ready to continue with this or, if the government so decides, to go back to face-to-face teaching and learning - time will tell. In the meantime, thank you for your continued support and all those positive messages they are very inspiring to our staff. I hope you have a nice weekend.
All the best
