Dear parents,
This newsletter is unfortunately once again coming from a lockdown situation. It is difficult to know how long this will go on, but what is certain is that for the safety of our community we have to do the next best thing which is of course continue teaching and learning via the online platforms.
In this way, our community is kept safe and focused and together we can show the resilience that is needed and will be necessary to eventually overcome this, not just for us but also for the wider society. We all need to play our part.
As usual, we are keeping up with online learning to the best of our ability. I know that all our senior leaders are observing lessons and tuning in at random times. I would remind you to please let us know if there are concerns and we will try and rectify this as best we can. However, I can see from the photos and from the observations that students are being engaged as best as possible. As you know the Early Year students are in school which is a blessing and we are also thankful that the Government has allowed Year 11 students to do their exams as anything else would have been very detrimental.
I end this newsletter by making a heartfelt plea to all of you to be safe, to wear masks, to sanitise and to be very very aware of social distancing. Until the majority of the population gets their vaccine, this is still going to be a very bumpy ride and we must be vigilant at all times.
Thank you for your ongoing support, it is very much appreciated and I wish you all a good weekend.
Best Wishes,
Stefano Piumatti
