Dear Parents,
I write this newsletter under very trying and strange circumstances, which you are all aware of. I have to express my immense gratitude for your cooperation and for your help and support in these times. We are all being challenged by something much larger than us and we have to all stand together so believe me when I say it is deeply appreciated.
I am very glad that you and our students are home and safe because above all, this is the most important thing. We have to maintain our positive approach and as much good will as we can muster. I know my teachers are working hard to make Zoom sessions and continuous learning as interesting as possible during this special period of restricted movement. It is early days and there may be some technical hitches – please bear with us as we are working to resolve them. I also ask you to urge your children to follow their timetable as closely as possible.
On another note, I would like to congratulate Ethan Oey who did very well representing the school in California last December. As many of you may know Ethan participated in the Spartan Kids World Championship. I have included a short video on his experience leading up to the race. I am sure you will agree with me when I say that this achievement is no mean feat.
I also want to include a video on Quantum Learning on which the school has embarked on in order for us to continuously improve on Teaching and Learning. This one is from the parents’ point of view on their understanding of the QL system. The standard of teaching and learning is improving all the time and I myself have been witness to this while I have been here.
Please know that I will continue to keep you all updated and that we are working very hard with our teachers to provide our students with the materials they need.
Please keep safe and I look forward to seeing you again when the school reopens.
I leave with this quote by the celebrated Romanian gymnast Nadia Comaneci who said
“I don't run away from a challenge because I am afraid. Instead, I run towards it because the only way to escape fear is to trample it beneath your foot”
Thank you
Kind regards
