Dear parents,
As this academic year closes in, I look back at the changes that were forced on us by circumstances. As I have said to parents recently in the coffee mornings and coffee evenings, we as a community have risen to the different challenges set by these circumstances, but regardless of the situation we have managed to provide as best as we can an enriching and worthwhile educational experience for our children and so it is that through the medium of technology, our students were still exposed to debates, poetry readings, book days, outside speakers, painting days, collaborative learning projects and even recently even a dance-a-thon. This shows the versatility, creativity and imaginative approach of all staff, students and parents in our Puchong community. We have a great deal to rejoice about at TIS Puchong. We celebrated the different key points in our year including Ramadan, Deepavali and Chinese New Year, we had a science fair in Secondary, many exit and entry points in Primary, and so much more, and all in all continued challenging the students in class to continue to achieve and better themselves.
It is fitting to take this opportunity to say to you thank you so much for your three wonderful years at TIS Puchong. I really want to thank you for your generous support of the school and the teachers. I know that many teachers have expressed encouragement from your comments and it is those small moments that so worthwhile for the teachers and imbibes them with the fervour to dedicate themselves to your children.
For me it has been a privilege and a pleasure working with you and representing you and I have had so many notes of validation and encouragement over the last three years. It has been a very rewarding and rich experience for me and on many occasions I have been humbled by the spirit that you as parents have shown time and time again. The school has grown and developed and I know that the school will be in very good hands with Mr Peter Wells. As you know he is a very experienced Principal and we have had numerous discussions regarding the handover. I know that he is looking forward to working with you.
Thank you for making my stay in Malaysia so memorable. I will be taking away many happy memories and rich experiences of this beautiful country.
I wish you and your families the very best in all your future endeavours and it remains me to wish you a very happy and safe holiday break in the upcoming holidays.
