This week we have had some Football and Benchball preparation matches as well as finalising our Duke of Edinburgh award students.
On Monday our Football under 15 and 18 boys and girls hosted TIS Kuala Lumpur in a preparation match. The games went very well and we benefited from playing against some good teams which will stand us in good stead for our KLISS and KL Sports League tournaments coming up next term.
On Wednesday we also hosted TIS Kuala Lumpur, this time in Benchball under 9 boys. We played very well and won the majority of matches which taught Ms Hidayah, the coach, a lot about how the students play and what to expect in their tournaments next term.
This week we have also been finalising our Duke of Edinburgh students who will be participating in the bronze and silver awards starting in September. We do have a few spaces available for the bronze award so if you are in Year 9 and you would like to be part of this then come and pick up an application pack from my desk on Monday morning. The deadline for this is Friday 26th July.
As well as our students participating in sport our staff team took part in their annual Volleyball tournament this week! They played extremely well, getting to the final but just losing out narrowly 31-29. There are many other staff sports tournaments coming up next term so this will be a great chance for the staff to put themselves in the players shoes and give some big performances!
Next week we have The Annual at Tenby International School. We are taking around 140 students which means this will be the biggest tournament we have ever been involved in. We are all extremely excited about it and hope to win some silverware!
