Today was the day for our termly Parent-Teacher Conferences (PTC). It was good to see so many parents being able to come into school and discuss their child’s learning with the teachers. Of course, the main aim of a PTC is to inform parents on how their children are performing academically and socially, however it’s also an opportunity to further clarify what is written on the report card. Furthermore, PTC's are also very valuable for any teacher to get a more complete picture of how their students are experiencing school (what they report back to parents) and what they are like outside of school hours.
Walking around the various hallways, it’s nice to hear so many positive comments about the conversations that people are having. Our PTC's are definitely a good example of how our learning community is working well.
In support of Kloth Cares: a fabric recycling movement, a primary school teacher, Ms Violacea Low has spearheaded the initiative to give new life to unwanted fabrics in the TISPC community. By keeping these recyclables out of landfills, you can give a new life to your unwanted fabrics. All types of fabric based products are accepted for donation: soft toys, shoes, handbags, backpacks, household items like linens and curtains, etc. To donate, be sure to drop off your items wrapped in a plastic bag and drop them off by the white bins in our school. For more information on Kloth Cares, feel free to contact them at @klothlifestyle on Instagram or check out their
website.
