A reminder to start off this week’s newsletter regarding the Dance Competition tonight - Friday at 7:30pm and tomorrow’s Taylors Got Talent Show also at 7:30pm. Come along and enjoy the variety of on offer and be amazed at the exuberance taken of our own performers. As usual, a lot of work has gone in from the students and Mr. Ian and this promises to be as enjoyable and entertaining as all the other shows that we have been privileged to see this year.

As usual the week has flown by which only underlines just how active we are. The plethora of activities is mind boggling at times. Entry and exit points in Primary, Robotics Exhibitions in Secondary, Exams, GL assessments and sporting events from Monday to Saturday. Yesterday for example I visited Year 1 for their Exit Point “From A to B”. It was lovely to see the girls and boys explaining to their mums and dads about the workings of transport. Hands on activities with mums and dads making boats only to see more often than not Dad’s boat sink much to the hilarity of our young engineers.

Our last transition day was a great triumph with the Year 6 feeling much more at ease about next year. A lot of work has been done to ensure a smooth transition. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the teachers in both Secondary and Primary who have been involved in this project, particularly Miss Tania - Year 6 and Miss Latha - Year 7. A lot of thought, planning and organisation has gone into this.

Lastly today of course we are having the Deepavali celebrations and behind the scenes much preparation has been happening for today. It promises to be a vibrant day.
