15 July 2022 - Looking Forward To Various Events

​​Dear parents and guardians

You will be aware from the media that the number of pandemic cases has been increasing, and I would like to remind everyone to continue to take care. Please monitor your children and continue to let the school know if there is a positive case. This term, in keeping with the change in government SoP to endemic status, the school has not been issuing daily updates of the pandemic situation but we are monitoring the situation carefully. The numbers in school have been manageable, but if there comes a point to send classes home (as was done in term 1), then we will do that, and implement online learning.

It has been really good to see parents in school for various events and activities over recent weeks. The recent Primary parent session about learning was excellent, and it was really interesting to hear the views of parents around this fundamental aspect of schooling. Thank you to all those parents who have attended and I look forward to meeting more parents over time.

I am also looking forward to seeing everyone at the forthcoming performance called “Everlasting”. This is a combined mix of performances from TIS Puchong and TIS Kuala Lumpur to be held in the auditorium at the end of next week. This is another big step back to normality and will allow students to perform in front of an audience again for the first time in a few years, for parents to see our talented students, and for the school to raise money for worthy causes.

TISPC continues to reinforce its links with Taylor’s University, Malaysia’s top private university. Students in KS4 have been fortunate to receive sessions to make them think about their future and what they need to do to get there. After the term 2 break, the school will be hosting a higher education fair for Y10 to Y11 students, to give more information about the next step in their learning journey.
