We have seen a full scope of fixtures take place this week with many, many more coming up this weekend and next week.
Last Saturday our Football under 14 boys and girls travelled to International School Kuala Lumpur (ISKL) for an exclusive tournament against the host, TIS Kuala Lumpur, Alice Smith International School and the Indonesian school of Jakarta Intercultural School. Both our teams were fantastic, the highlight for our young girls team, led by Mr Wasim and Mr Azharul, was beating TIS Kuala Lumpur 5-0 in the 3rd place play-off to achieve a bronze medal. The boys followed suit, also finishing in 3rd place, and also beating TIS Kuala Lumpur in a 2-1 victory to earn their medals. Well done to both teams.
On Wednesday we hosted the KL Sports League Benchball under 9 girls bowl tournament. Our development team, coached by Mr Azharul, played ever so well, getting all the way to the semi finals before being beaten by Asia Pacific International School. Our Basketball boys went to TIS Kuala Lumpur to compete for their AIMS-K round 1. Mr Zul's team were dominant, playing some excellent Basketball and came out as winners of the group, beating TIS Kuala Lumpur, Nexus and KTJ International schools to finish with a 100% win record and qualify for the cup finals later this term! A fantastic effort from the boys.
On Thursday two of our Netball under 13 teams travelled to TIS Kuala Lumpur to take on the KL Sports League cup finals. Both of our teams were tremendous, playing some great Netball, coached by Ms Hidayah and Ms Haliza. One of our teams got to the cup final but eventually lost out and brought back a silver medal which we are all extremely proud of.
Our Football under 15 boys and girls competed in their cup finals and plate finals respectively on Thursday. Our boys beat HELP International School 2-1 which was a magnificent win, before the bad weather stopped play. A similar story happened with our girls tournament and now both tournaments will take place either during the end of this term or at the start of next year.
On Saturday our Volleyball under 18 boys and girls will compete in their AIM-K 2019-2020 tournament, with our girls defending the championship they won in May. After this our under 14 boys and girls and under 16 boys will travel to Epsom college to participate in an exclusive tournament on Saturday afternoon. It really is non-stop! As well as fixtures, the plans for our Sports Awards are being ramped up and I ask you to inform me as soon as possible if you require tickets for our special yearly event this year. The deadline has now passed but I will extend this to Friday 18th October so please get in touch!
