Welcome back to school after the CNY break.
The COVID positive numbers in Malaysia have risen after the CNY break and that has affected all schools including TIS Puchong.
So far, we have had a very small number of positive COVID cases in the student and staff bodies. This is inevitable, as the country moves from a pandemic to an endemic state. We are learning to live with and manage this virus. I would like to remind all parents to monitor themselves and their children carefully. Testing and vaccinations does not stop someone from catching COVID.
Vaccinations are very important to reduce the impact of the virus, and I would like to remind parents of children who would like to get them vaccinated, to register through MySejahtera so that an appointment can be made. I would also like to take this opportunity to remind parents that the school has no part in making or arranging these appointments.
The SoPs and testing help us to help each other.
RESPECT is part of the TIS core values and so is
INTEGRITY. Both these values are very important at the moment, by following the SoPs and rules we are respecting and protecting ourselves, and just as importantly others around us. At the same time we are practicing integrity by following these essential rules. These are very good values for our students and your children to embed as core to the way they lead their life.
So please wear a mask, wash your hands regularly and keep social distance.
It has been fantastic to be able to spend real time now walking around the TIS Puchong campus and going into lessons. I am on the campus on alternate days and it is really good getting to know a super school. We have a lot to be proud of.
Stay safe
