Dear parent,
The good news is that as you know the Government announced this week that now roadblocks in the Klang-Selangor-Putrajaya area have stopped and that Selangor is now moving into Phase 2. This means that the school can now start to prepare to open its campus on 4 October. However, before we get too ahead of ourselves we are still awaiting clarification for the new SOPs to be implemented and of course exactly who will be allowed on campus. What we have been told so far is that this will occur in phases but I am seeking clarity on this.
You may have seen that there is a dance routine which is being organized and performed by many people around the school community. It is called “Do You Want To Dance With Somebody ‘ after the song made famous by Whitney Houston. It is worth having a look and if you want to join, please follow the instructions on the link below. This is a great initiative by our Year 11 student Gabriel and by our Assistant Head Miss Charlie Baker. It would be great to see many of you involved. I am told that it is like a flashmob, but online. Please refer to the QR code at the side for more information.
I have seen throughout the last two weeks great teaching and learning and great engagement by both students and teachers which makes me very proud. It is a continuing testament to the hard work and dedication that we are together providing as a community under very trying circumstances. There are lots of wonderful activities in every class and teachers are working hard to make the lessons as interesting and enjoyable as possible.
It looks like as more and more people get the vaccine our lives can go back to some form of normality and I look forward very much to the day that we can return on campus and get back to our face-to-face teaching.
Keep well and keep safe.
