I would like to take the opportunity on my newsletter segment this week to speak about the fantastic World Animal Day celebrations that happened on Wednesday.
Students from across the school had been learning in the lead up to World Animal Day through registration learning, during PSHE and creating posters and drawings that have been displayed across the school. On Wednesday after all of the preparation, learners came in their own clothes and brought in donations that go towards the charity we are raising money for - Voice for Paws. It was amazing to see so many students, teachers and administrative staff all get involved and come together for a great cause. Learners presented some excellent work about the endangered species of our planet as well as finding out some amazing facts about some crazy animals we have in our world. After all the donations have been counted we have raised nearly RM15,000! A huge amount was raised and it broke the record for the biggest single donation in the history of Voice for Paws organisation! Thank you so much for every learner, parent and staff member for getting involved. It has been a pleasure to coordinate this event and to raise money for such a special cause.
On the PE front this week we have taken the decision to stop Primary PE classes for now. This decision will be reviewed throughout the term and if there is a change of circumstance then we will of course resume our Primary PE lessons and inform you of this. Secondary classes will resume as normal but swimming classes will be suspended for now.
Have a great weekend.
