The third week of Term 2 finds us deep in the MCO period, awaiting the next set of instructions from the Government. I have been very busy talking to parents, responding to you either by email or personally by phone, discussing the many difficulties that we are all facing as a community. As a school, we are trying to balance as best as possible the welfare of all as well as the sustainability of TIS Puchong.
A gentle reminder to parents if you don’t know already, that we have two options in place to help during this difficult period on top of the 10% fee reduction: the possibility of paying by credit card or instalment plans. Please approach the Accounts department at accounts.pc.tis.edu.my if you have not done so already and they will be very glad to assist you with the process.
The other matter I wanted to inform you about is that we are already discussing the practical procedures that will be in place once the MCO is lifted, particularly with reference to social distancing. I have spoken to the PTF and what I am suggesting is a meeting next week with a representative from each year to outline our plans and also to hear your suggestions and concerns. I think this is important as we need to get as much buy-in into what will be a very challenging process.
As you know, a survey was sent out by Secondary and Primary and I want to let you know that the majority of feedback has been very encouraging and positive. I would also urge those of you who have not yet done so to respond to the survey as your suggestions are taken seriously and looked into as we aim to continually improve our online learning platform.
Lastly, I want to reassure you that our online learning continues to be robust and continues to cover the curriculum and the children are learning. They are where they are supposed to be and it is essential that they continue with the routine and for that I thank you for your support.
Wishing you a good extended weekend.
All the best.
