Dear Parents,

As we end Term 1, I am writing to express our thanks for your exceptional efforts as you support your children as learners in this challenging time. We appreciate that during this time as we go through the Covid-19 pandemic, we are all facing different challenges.

Uppermost in our mind is to provide meaningful learning whilst school campuses are closed. Our commitment to delivering the Continual Learning at the best possible level for your children is unwavering and our teachers have been working extremely hard to ensure that progress in learning is not compromised. Our teachers are striving to provide outstanding learning opportunities each day in this new environment and it is very encouraging to see our learners continue their engagement and enthusiasm for this style of learning. Indeed many of you have made many positive comments about this. Thank you for this because it also reassures and heartens the teachers.

At the same time, we appreciate that you as parents have also experienced a new role at home as a partner in your child’s education. We are extremely grateful for your collaboration as we continue to streamline the process for the students and families.

We also understand that some families will be facing financial and emotional challenges during this time. As such, we want you to know that we as a school and as a group are thoroughly examining various options to offer some relief to families from these pressures. Rest assured that whilst we look into what steps we can take, we will not compromise on the quality of learning experience for your children. The best possible educational outcomes for your children is what we always strive for and you will be hearing from us on what we will be putting together to help our community.

One such example is the outreach that we are providing in the holidays. Both Secondary and Primary sections have developed programs for the next two weeks. Some are to do with arts and crafts, some may be instructional but all will be fun. It may help alleviate boredom. Please do take advantage of these. I must stress though that these are totally voluntary. Mr Marco and Mr Mike will elaborate more in their sections.
