Dear Parents and Guardians
Thank you to all parents who have registered with Vircle.
Please be reminded that from Monday 10th July, purchases in the cafeteria will all be done by Vircle. The existing cashless system will be switched off. Students will continue to use their ID cards for payment but parents need to make sure that Vircle is registered and that money is on their child’s card.
If you have not done so, please ensure you have installed the Vircle app on your phone, and have added your child/ren to the Vircle eWallet, and then provided them with an allowance to ensure they can purchase food from the cafeteria on Monday, 10th July 2023. Onboarding Instructions/videos are available via the Vircle website. Please see your school email account to see instructions about how to register with Vircle.
If you need any help with the onboarding process the Vircle Support Team will be onsite along the walkway, next to the Cafeteria on:
- Thu 6th July - Fri 7th July (7:30am to 9:30am & 2:00pm to 4:00pm)
- Mon 10th July - Wed 12th July (7:30am to 9:30am & 2:00pm to 4:00pm)
I am very much looking forward to seeing Taylorian’s Rhapsody on Friday evening and Saturday morning. I know that the students have put in a lot of rehearsal time to make this a really entertaining show. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank Ms Rebecca and her team for all the support and direction that they have given to the students in recent weeks. This will be a great opportunity to see our talented students perform, while at the same time generate some funds for a charity in need.
Primary students have had a busy few weeks of practising songs and dances to surprise our Assistant Head of Primary, Ms Nienke, who moves back to the Netherlands at the end of this week. Ms Nienke led the Primary team towards the International Primary Curriculum accreditation last year and she championed sustainability drives with Taylor's Care Movement committee. Ms Nienke has inspired both teachers and children to make a difference no matter how small, and the Taylor's community will miss her bubbly personality and presence. We wish her all the best in her new role.
There have been many outdoor learning activities as the heatwave settled down, and one of the highlights was a trip to the Bird Park in KL, where the children researched on the different species and habitats, and watched eagles and ostriches being fed. The end of the second term also welcomes the annual Primary Sports Day where our PE team organised an exciting array of activities, medals and prizes for participants, and treats for the children.
