A very Happy Malaysia Day for tomorrow. Malaysia is such a wonderful diverse mix of people and cultures, and yet at this time of year, it is really good to be able to celebrate Malaysia as a nation and be proud of what this stands for
“Malaysia Boleh”
Parent survey - Thank you to all the parents who have kindly responded to the annual survey. Unfortunately, we need to have more responses, and so we will keep the
link active until the end of September to allow more people to give their opinions. This survey is very important to help the school to listen to the views of parents. It helps the school to make changes to the way we are doing things and also celebrate the things that are going well. Please have your say by following the link that was sent to your email.
MAD at TISKL - This is the annual Music, Arts, Drama festival which last occurred before the pandemic. Teachers from both KL and Puchong worked really well together to bring groups of passionate students from three schools for a performance. The schools involved were TISKL, TISPC and SGS Seremban. At the start of the three days we had three separate groups of students but on the last day we had a wonderful mix, who provided a few hundred people in the hall at TISKL with a captivating performance from traditional dance and music, (here the Anklung captivated many people’s imagination) through a very funny drama about the life of Robin Hood and a magical combination of everyone at the end. The rock band and Stomp performances from TISPC were really good and showed their considerable talents.
Artwork around the campus - Parents moving around the school will have noticed that we are now displaying more artwork on staircases and walls. This is another way of celebrating creativity and passion. Please take a look next time you are on the campus, and remember that these are works of art by our own talented students. My congratulations to the students who have had their work displayed and I hope that these inspire more students to be creative.
And last but not least the Primary school is presenting
the X Factory in the auditorium at the end of the month. This promises to be another stunning production. For tickets please see the X Factory links next to this newsletter, or the Primary music teachers.
