- Exciting Beginning For Term 2

Dear Parents / Guardians
Welcome back to Term 2, and I hope that the break was good to refresh batteries and spend some quality time as families.

At the end of last term, the Secondary school put on their performances of Aladdin in the Auditorium, and “Wow”, what performances they were. The cast of students were superb and really brought the story and music to life. My congratulations to all the students involved and also to Mr Lewis for his drive and direction. This show could not have happened without the support of a number of staff including Ms Rebecca, Ms Jee, Ms Pavi and Neo.

To make this even better, the ticket money was collected together with the non-uniform day on the last day of term and TISPC was able to donateRM34,751 to the Children's Cancer Association of Malaysia (CCAM). This will be of great support to this charity and to the families and children that they support. #CareOthers

On Friday evening, Mr Mike and I together with Ms Anne Marie from TISKL went to the Hyatt hotel in the city to collect the Reader's Digest Gold Award for most trusted International School for 2024. These awards come from a huge survey of the Malaysian public where people vote for their most trusted product in a variety of categories. To add to this, we have received this award every year for the last seven years.

Now to switch to something a little more mundane but of equal importance. I need to draw your attention to parking in school. The majority of drivers are good and do think about other people. However, I do need to put the focus on those drivers who park indiscriminately and block others. Please only park in a designated parking space. Perhaps more importantly for the environment and the students in school, drivers are leaving their engines working for long periods of time while they wait. Doing so puts damaging fumes into the atmosphere and in a location like the basement carpark, this affects those who are breathing the polluted air. Please switch off your engine while you are waiting. We are getting the following poster displayed around the campus and would appreciate your support in protecting both your own lungs and those of the students on campus.
