Dear Parents / Guardians
I hope that you and your children are enjoying the school holidays.
As it was the last week of the school year, we had the Year 11 graduation on Friday morning. This was a superb event with Year 11 all dressed up and looking very mature. Attached are some photographs. Thank you to the organising team and also to Ms Audrey Ang Chief Financial Officer Taylor’s Schools for attending. It makes the school very proud to see these Year 11 students graduate from the school and go on to further education. During their time at the school, we have strived to make their education
#Relevant by exposing them to the essential skills of collaboration, communication, critical thinking and creativity. They are also
#Responsible and show respect to the situation of others, and finally they have shown massive
#Resilience in the way they have approached a huge variety of challenges from the sports field, the stage and of course the long lock down periods of the pandemic.
They are super role models of the education that we offer at TIS and we look forward to seeing their IGCSE results towards the end of January. Good luck to all Year 11 and please come back and tell us what you do in the future.
On the previous Saturday TISPC hosted its first whole school carnival. This is part of our
#Care for Others programme. Thank you to parents and students for their generosity, with RM47,533 being raised for charities for the less fortunate.
Here is a list of the benefiting charities :- Kechara soup Kitchen Society, Children Cancer Association Malaysia, Pertubuhan Kebajikan Kesayangan Maha, Persatuan Orang Buta, Rumah Shalom, Persatuan Kebajikan Rumah Victory Malaysia and Persatuan heart's symphony. The whole school community came together for this worthy cause and everyone concerned can give themselves a big ‘pat on the back’
Last week, I sent a short email to all parents telling them about a change that the school is making during the holidays. For many years we have been using software called Engage to manage student data. During December we are moving from Engage and starting to use a product called iSams. During this transition period some data in Engage will not reflect the situation in 2024. This will all be finalised and confirmed for the start of the school year in January.
Stay safe and have a great break, we look forward to seeing you on Monday 8th January. For those who are leaving TISPC, we wish you all the best for the future.
