Dear Parents and Guardians,
Welcome back to Term 3, and if you are a new parent to the school, welcome to TISPC. This term promises to be just as busy and exciting as the previous two terms. Being the final term of 2024, we will have the end of year assessments and examinations.
In May and June, students from Year 11 took
IGCSE papers in languages, in particular BM and Mandarin. We are very proud of their results:-
Mandarin overall - 100% pass rate ( A* to C) and 85% A* and A.
Mandarin First language - 50% A* and A
Mandarin Second language - 89% A* and A
Mandarin Foreign language - 95% A* and A
For Bahasa Malaysia, 87% of the students achieved an A* or A in the Foreign language papers
As parents will have seen, the housing development next to the school is quickly going ahead. Last week we had an incident where one of the construction traffic lorries got stuck at the entry road to the basement car park. On behalf of the contractors for these houses, I would like to apologise for the inconvenience caused as this lorry completely blocked access to the school at pick up time for quite a while. I hope that you realise that this was completely beyond the control of the school. We have repeated our request to the contractors not to have deliveries at the pick up time as there are so many cars accessing the school.
I would also like to remind parents and drivers to be careful when accessing the basement carpark road as there could be traffic coming out of this road and therefore coming in the opposite direction. TISPC has been using this road for ten years in one direction, and now due to this housing development, we will need to become more accustomed to traffic flowing in both directions.
I would also like to give you advance notice of the next Primary Musical “Alice The Musical” which will happen on 27th Sept at 1.30pm, and also on 28th Sept at 11am. Please watch out for notifications from the school for more information.
All the best for this term.
