Dear Parents / Guardians
We are fast approaching the end of a very successful and exciting year. I have seen the 2023 Yearbook (more later) and it really shows the huge variety of events and activities that we have been involved in.
We had our International day celebrations recently and that was a superb day. My thanks to all the hard work from our parents and also teachers to make this all happen. Parents: you showed with your care and time a huge investment in this day and it made the day all the better for the students involved - massive thanks to you.
The theme for the Primary school was based around the experience of aliens arriving at the school. I commented in my speech that we have all been aliens at some point and respecting the similarities and differences between us all is key to the future of us all. Respect and Care is one of our core values, and it is events like this that help pass this vital message to the students.
After many weeks, the final papers for IGCSE are being sat by our Year 11 students. It has been a long journey for them, not without its stressful and also joyful moments. Congratulations, Year 11 for making it through all of this and I look forward to seeing you all dressed formally for graduation on the last day of school.
The 2023 Yearbook has been completed and is at the printers and we hope to have it in school any day now. For yet another year, it is a really good representation of all that we do at TISPC. My thanks go to the editorial team and of course all the students and teachers who contributed to the Yearbook. I hope that you all enjoy reading it as much as I did; happy memories.
In the Primary school they continue to be busy with Year 4 and Year 6 going for their residential trips this month, away from their families for the first time since the pandemic. The Year 4s travelled to Eagle Range Resort in Port Dickson, where they learned basic survival and character-building skills like first aid and raft-building, working on their collaboration and teamwork. It was a real treat to go away for two nights together with their friends. The Year 6s went to Paradise Valley in Broga and they too had the most wonderful time. They did more adventurous activities like abseiling, wall-climbing and ziplining. In the evenings, there was a campfire with limbo games and a talent show. Children from the other year groups are now looking forward to when it is their turn to go too. We also had visitors from the University of Malaya’s Rimba Ilmu Botanic Garden who presented valuable information on Malaysia's flora and fauna, in conjunction with their IPC unit, ‘Vanishing Rainforest’. The children learned about the impact of habitats being destroyed.
In this newsletter, we also have Cezar's Kitchen, our cafeteria provider, to recap what has happened with the school cafeteria in the month of October. Click on this

And finally, a reminder that Friday 24th November is our last day in school for this academic year.
