Dear Parents and Guardians,
Here we are at the end of Term, and what a term it has been. Students are now settled back in the school campus and learning face to face. It has been another challenging term, but I hope that we have all come out of this stronger, more resilient and having learnt something new.
This term break is a chance to focus on wellbeing and recharge batteries. Students have had a tough term, with learning online and now in school and all the associated stresses that come with change and the unknown. Enjoy this end of term break and I look forward to seeing all the students back in school on Monday 26th April.
News from Accounts
As you will be aware, last year, the school started to offer payments through credit cards. This is done through the Parent Portal, which is a link from the school Website. We have now formalised this process and if you would like to use this method of payment, please use these links for further details:-
YouTube video - Please see video attached.
We are pleased to announce that following the success of the Taylor’s Covid Financial Aid (TCFA) programme to help parents with financial difficulties who have children in Years 10 and 11, the school is expanding this via the Taylor’s Covid Bursary (TCB), which will be administered by the TCB Committee.
TCB will apply to children in any year group whose parents are experiencing financial difficulties due to the pandemic. Such parents are predominantly those who would have already been in contact with the school regarding instalments or require help with paying fees due to their circumstances and/or have indicated that they will need to withdraw from the school. If you feel that you fit this category and would like to know more, please contact the Principal's Office for more details of TCB.
News from the Cafeteria
The cafeteria is now preparing the menu and Google Form for Term 2. The link will be sent to you in the next few days. Please order food through this Google Form NOT through the portal.
Still with the cafeteria, please can you make sure that your child’s card is topped up with money so that the payments can be taken from the card. This can be done from the Parent Portal or by using the kiosk in school.
Teacher Awards
Teaching is a tough job, and the pandemic made it a whole lot tougher! Despite that, we have heard of teachers who persevered, overcame, stepped up their game and went the extra mile for their students.
On that notion, Taylor’s College and the college’s school community engagement platform The Risers will be celebrating teachers who have made an impact on the lives of students in Malaysia through the RISE Educator Award. This Award is an avenue for students and parents to let teachers know that they are doing a wonderful job.
