Dear Parents,
Earlier this term, we announced superb IGCSE results from November 2021. As a reminder, students from
TISKL achieved 60% A* and A, and 88% A* to C. Now we are very pleased to announce that six students have been included in the Cambridge High Achievers Awards for 2021.
The following students have been recognised as ‘Top in Malaysia’ at IGCSE:
Alif Mikhael Azmir,
Gan Eronn,Kok Hoyi, all for IGCSE Malay as a Foreign language
Freida Foong Xi En for IGCSE Computer Science
Tan Yi-Xuen for IGCSE Global Perspectives
The following student has been recognised as ‘Top in the World’:
Erina Sam for IGCSE Physical Education
This means that since 2012, when the school first started IGCSE, we have had 20 ‘Top in Malaysia’ Awards, and 11 ‘Top in the World’ Awards. This is superb, and represents the hard work that our students and teachers have put into the IGCSE exams. Massive congratulations to all involved. One of our core values is
EXCELLENCE and these students have certainly shown that, and they have given future IGCSE students something to aim for.
The COVID situation in school has calmed dramatically in the last few weeks, and so far this week the number of cases has been really small, with single positive cases in Year 9 and 10. We all need to continue to follow the SoPs and protect each other and people around us. I have included the latest information from the UK about symptoms for COVID. Please be aware of these symptoms and if you have any doubts, please take a test and keep your children at home. We will again be asking for self test results on Monday, and if you or your child tests positive, please keep them at home.
Stay safe
Peter
