Focus on Early Years
Children in the Early Years classes practised their fine motor and gross motor skills during learning activities related to Chinese New Year. They decorated mice biscuits, used scissors and glue sticks creating mice puppets, as well as stretching their bodies during yoga exercises to create the shapes of Chinese Zodiac. Korean Schools Visit
We were delighted and proud to host 30 students from the Gyeongju Province of South Korean, last week. Over 30 TISKL students joined them for some fun learning activities, to give the Koreans a taste of international schooling in Kuala Lumpur. Our school was selected for the second year running to participate in this cultural exchange. During the 2 hour session, the students engaged in English, Maths and Geography tasks, as well as learning the traditional Malaysian game of Congkak. The atmosphere was one of respect, enjoyment, cooperation and appreciation. This was a very positive experience all round, and we hope to host future events such as this.
Tapestry Online Journal
EY parents attended a session led by Mr Victor and Ms Alia, who shared information about a trial application which will allow parents to see their child’s learning every day on a simple platform. We are excited about this new initiative, and hope that parents can see the benefits of online
