We started Term 2 in April with nobody on the campus and now here we are in the last week of the term and finally we have students in school enjoying their lessons. What a term it has been!
School life is not back to the old normal but it feels much more like a school, and the new normal SoP’s are quickly becoming our default routine. Students are getting accustomed to having some lessons in school and the following week having lessons online. This is our new normal and my congratulations to the students and teachers for the way that they have adapted.
Thank you to parents for the responsible manner in which you are collecting your children. This is the most challenging part of the school day when it comes to social distancing. I ask you to respect the distance to others especially when you are waiting by the entrance. Please can you also reinforce the SoP and MCO rules with your children.
We have also been trying online parent teacher meetings, which have proved to be very successful. This is another example of a practise which came out of this MCO period which could become a new normal practise for the future.
I mentioned at the start of this piece that we are in the last week of term 2. Friday sees the start of the end of term holidays with Hari Raya Haji being celebrated on that day.
“Selamat Hari Raya Haji” to all of our Muslim parents. Please be safe in your celebrations.
Term 2 has been stressful for everyone in so many ways and I hope that everyone gets a good rest during this break, but please follow the SoP and MCO rules. We will post to the newsletter and social media if there are any changes to the current practise.
I look forward to seeing students back in school on 24th August.
Stay safe.
