I have written about this a few times in the last month, but 2021 really has been a challenging year for all of us. Last week, I found myself in the bizarre situation where the staff and the students were in school, and I was isolated at home, AND I missed the Year 11 graduation and the last day of the school year!
This was really frustrating, but my congratulations go out to the staff and students who have really made the last week of school in 2021 a huge success.
It is through the great efforts and dedication of the teachers that the students' learning has not been compromised. It is also a terrific reflection of our students that they have thrown themselves into everything and have adapted tremendously to this new normal.
My congratulations go out to you all in making TISKL what it is today. As the saying goes "The sum is greater than the parts" , and at TISKL we do have great parts!
2021, has been a difficult year, due to the pandemic but on the positive side, we have all learnt some very useful skills for the future. Let’s hope that 2022, is a much better year and dare I say, “A back to normal year”.
Year 11 Graduation
Last Friday afternoon, we had the Year 11 Graduation. Like last year, this was not the normal graduation ceremony, but an event driven by the pandemic SoPs that we all become so used to. Held outside and with no large group gatherings, it was still a superb event, and a fitting tribute to the students of “the TISKL class of 2021”.
I would like to add my best wishes to all the leavers and to thank them all for what they brought to the school, and I really hope that TISKL also had a great impact on them. I hope that you will join me in wishing all leavers all the best with their future, and to remind them, to come back and tell us of their future successes.

Finally
It leaves me to remind you all to have a safe and peaceful break before January 2022. Please take time to relax and unwind, but at the same time please follow the SoPs. COVID is not going away and we all need to learn how to manage living in a COVID world.
Stay safe
