It is great to see lots of smiling faces in school.

Dear Parents and Guardians

It is great to see lots of smiling faces and hear productive noise around the school. Attendance levels are back to normal pre-pandemic numbers. Talking to the students they are really happy to be back in school, to be able to speak and interact with their classmates and friends. After many weeks of isolation and seeing people on screens, it makes a huge difference.

Last Saturday we had the much delayed 2020 Year 11 graduation ceremony. This was done as a ‘drive through’ ceremony to keep parents and students from grouping together. It was super to see our ex students and to hear what they are doing now. We are compiling records of our alumni, so if you know where TISKL (or SG) students went after the school and what they are doing, please let us know.

Cezar’s Kitchen food. A reminder to all parents to check the money on their child’s card, as we are aware that many accounts have gone negative. Cards can be topped up either online, or through the kiosk in school. We would also like to make parents aware that if food is ordered and then not collected, this food will be charged to the student’s account, unless you let us know. If you have any questions about the food provision, please contact Nicholas Betok, who is the campus manager for Cezar’s Kitchen. He has been in email contact with parents, who have made orders, so you should have his email address already.
Our apologies to parents for receiving emails from other parents with respect to ordering food from Cezar’s Kitchen. This should not be happening and we believe we have fixed the problem that allowed it to happen. It does, however, raise a good email etiquette lesson. When you reply to an email, please consider carefully who receives that email, and not “reply to all”

And finally, on Saturday sees the World celebrate Earth Hour. In school we celebrated this on Friday, but it would be great for you and your family to join in on Saturday and speak to your children about respecting and protecting the Earth. Switching the lights etc off for one hour might not be much be it will make everyone think about their impact on our planet - the only one we have!
