As we move towards the end of Term 2, teachers are preparing reports based on the virtual learning experience of our students in Early Years and the Primary school. Our Parent Teacher Conferences will be held from Monday 26th to Wednesday 28th July and appointments will be held in Google Meet.
Green House students and teachers celebrated their June success by getting together during break time. Chatting, singing, dancing and playing guitar were just some of the fun activities taking place. The students were awarded a digital sticker for their great efforts.
Our wonderful teachers were hosts to Taylor’s University students for the whole of Term 2, acting as mentors to these upcoming teachers studying the Bachelor of Education course at TU. As we say goodbye and good luck to Carson, Danielle, Ka-Mun, Lok Yi and Rishya, we look forward to welcoming 11 new student teachers in Term 3. There is truly nothing more rewarding for a teacher than to share his or her craft with future educators.
I am delighted to share the success of Shaurya Kaushik from class 5O, who has just had a book published on Amazon. ‘Toco’s Ploy’ is a short story about a gifted toucan, and is available for Kindle. It is an inspiration to all students and teachers to see how Shaurya has developed his passion for creative writing, and we wish him well with future publications.
Perhaps ‘Toco’s Ploy’ is something your child can read during next week’s long weekend? School is closed on Monday 19th and Tuesday 20th to celebrate Hari Raya Haji.
Stay safe everyone.
Kind regards,
Lynne Cadenhead
