As this term draws to a close I would like to express my sincere thanks to the TISKL community for the warm welcome that I have received since joining the school. I am so pleased that we were able to open the school at least for a few days before the end of the academic year. It was fantastic to see the classrooms filled with laughter and learning once again; i’m not sure who was more excited to be back, the teachers or the students! I have immediately been impressed with the wonderful manners and behaviour of the students in school so far and you can tell how pleased they are to be back on campus after such a long time. Without a doubt, this academic year has been another tough one for this school community, but the school has worked in partnership with parents to ensure that the fantastic learning has continued despite the challenges of the campus being closed. I have had lots of opportunities to enjoy lessons with your children online and I can see that the curriculum has still been covered and learning has most certainly still taken place. Students are in a strong position to carry on their learning for the next academic year thanks to the hard work of the staff, students and parents.

I wish you all a wonderful break when it arrives and I hope you get a chance to enjoy the greater freedoms now available to everyone as Malaysia begins to overcome the pandemic. I am excited for the new academic year and look forward to leading the primary school to even greater things in the future. I am a firm advocate of school and home working together in partnership and I welcome your feedback on any aspect of school life.
