A happy belated Deepavali.
Everyone is commenting how nice it is to have students back on the school campus. Their productive noise and energy really brings the school back to life.
Parents are aware of the restricted number of students in each class that the Ministry has put on schools, but at least we have face to face lessons happening again. I can see the joy in the eyes of the students as they talk and socialise with each other. Most of the other SoPs are as in the past. In summary we are:-
Taking the temperatures for everyone on the school campus
Moving people around the school using a one way system to keep numbers lower
Continuing with the staggered start and finish times for Primary and Secondary.
Everything is going very well and the students and staff have adapted to being back in school.
Year 11 are most of the way through their IGSCE papers, with the end in sight. Their last papers are mid next week, just before the end of the school year. I look forward to seeing them at the ‘drive-through’ graduation on Friday 19th November. This will be very similar to last year, and will allow the school to celebrate Year 11 but keeping within the SoPs.
On a separate note, the online bookshop will close for scheduled maintenance between 22nd and 30th November.
Stay safe.
