It will not have escaped your attention that KL is currently experiencing a Haze episode. Currently the school will be open as usual, but please be aware that we do have our own air quality meter which is helping us to make decisions about the haze.

The main emphasis of our policy is the health and safety of the students. Consequently we keep the students inside the buildings (and in air conditioning) to limit their exposure to the outdoor air. This does mean that, there will be no outdoor activities, meaning no outdoor PE, CCA’s or play at breaks and lunchtimes.

If your child is asthmatic, then you have the choice to keep them at home, and we will treat absences as authorised on medical grounds. Please let your child’s class teacher know if this is the case.

It is also a good idea to provide your child with a face mask to protect them as they go to and from school. The recommended masks are the N95 ones but please make sure that they are the correct size, especially for young children.
