Stay safe and enjoy your mid term break
Dear Parents and Guardians

We have had a busy few weeks with COVID and positive cases, but you will have noticed that the number of positive cases in school is dropping, and hopefully we are moving back to a more normal situation. This doesn't mean that we should treat this situation any less seriously. As I have written before, please follow the SoPs as this shows respect to others around you and limits the spread of the virus.

Many parents will have seen the news around government schools returning to school for the start of their new school year. Please be aware that the online learning for two weeks does apply to international schools. We have the approval referred to in the news articles and therefore can continue as we have been doing.

A reminder that next week from Monday to Wednesday, students will be having their mid term break, returning to school on Thursday 17th March. Please enjoy the break, but stay safe and observe the SoPs.

We will be doing our weekly COVID self test on Thursday morning next week. Please remember to do the test on Wednesday evening or Thursday morning.

Last week we had our 30th Anniversary celebrations, and I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for making it a great success.

As part of the celebrations we held a charity drive, which collected nearly RM10,000 which will be used to support paediatric therapies provided by ANGSANAcare, a local non-governmental organisation that provides free professional care services to underprivileged and chronically ill paediatric patients. This money was raised by asking students for a donation for allowing them to wear their own clothes for a day. Along with the drive, the school community also came together to fold paper cranes for well wishes. Paper cranes are a symbol of peace, love, hope, and healing during challenging times. With students from Early Years right up to Secondary, six hundred paper cranes were folded to wish the paediatric patients for their recovery and healing. This CSR project was very good for reminding the students of the importance of giving back to the community and taking care of others who are less fortunate than ourselves.

Stay safe
Peter
