In our 8th Annual Book Week in the primary school, we enjoyed numerous activities led by teachers, parents and students. Ms Jo rewrote 'The Boy Who Cried Wolf' to the story of Lulu who always told lies to her teachers. Mr Shaun, Ms Denise, Mr Victor and Ms Jo acted out the story to the whole of Early Years and Primary in an extremely entertaining way! The Door Decoration competition was of a very high standard this year, making it a difficult task for the judges to choose a winner from each year group. Class 6O chose to read 'MacBeth' and now the students are bitten by the Shakespeare bug. Other classes will introduce the famous bard in Term 2. See the gallery for the door winner photographs.
The highlight as usual was the character parade and the costume efforts were amazing! Thanks to all parents who also joined in the fun.
Light it up Blue!
On Monday 1st April, we were delighted with the response to wearing blue for the start of Autism Awareness Month. Ms Bernie invited the Early Autism Project to talk to the whole school about autism, through their 'Kindness Starts With Me' campaign. Rachel (left of Ms Bernie in the photo) spoke to the primary students on how to help friends who have difficulties, and to be kind to others. The primary school raised over RM4000 in the first MUFTI day of the year. Well done, everyone!
See you all on Tuesday 23rd April! Have a safe and happy holiday.
