Dear Parents and Guardians,
I hope you all had an enjoyable Lunar New Year. As you will have seen on our social media feeds, the school Performing Arts team has been busy around the city with drumming and dance performances at various shopping malls and companies. TISKL has built-up a great reputation for these performances each year, and are always in demand. Highlights of their performances would include the central atrium at the Pavilion in Bukit Bintang, and playing at another of Taylor’s Schools at Garden International school in Mont Kiara. A huge thank you to the students and staff in the team, for their dedication and excellence.
We also had a wonderful lion dance and performance in the newly refreshed courtyard at school. This annual event is a key part of our calendar. The noise, colour and vibrancy around the school that day was captivating. A highlight of this year’s performances was the attendance of Labubu. Students and staff were queuing for photographs with this character.
This is a small example of how the school embraces its Malaysian roots with cultural awareness to involve everyone (#Relevant). Diversity is very important in this world today, and appreciating the cultures of other people is a key part of diversity.
FInally we were able to have our first events in the newly refurbished school. Last week was a very busy week of student assemblies, and Primary parent coffee mornings. I hope that you like the new look school hall when you see it in the coming weeks, those who have seen it so far have given the school a resounding ‘thumbs-up’.
Have a great week ahead.
Stay safe.
