Have a great break, see you next year!
Dear Parents / Guardians
I hope that you and your children are enjoying the school holidays.
As it was the last week of the school year, we had the Year 11 graduation on Tuesday evening. This was a superb event with Year 11 all dressed up and looking very mature. Attached are some photographs. Thank you to the organising team. It makes the school very proud to see these Year 11 students graduate from the school and go on to further education. During their time at the school, we have strived to make their education #Relevant by exposing them to the essential skills of collaboration, communication, critical thinking and creativity. They are also #Responsible and show respect to the situation of others, and finally they have shown massive #Resilience in the way they have approached a huge variety of challenges from the sports field, the stage and of course the long lock down periods of the pandemic.
They are super role models of the education that we offer at TIS and we look forward to seeing their IGCSE results towards the end of January. Good luck to all Year 11 and please come back and tell us what you do in the future.
Last week, I sent a short email to all parents telling them about a change that the school is making during the holidays. For many years we have been using software called Engage to manage student data. During December we are moving from Engage and starting to use a product called iSams. During this transition period some data in Engage will not reflect the situation in 2024. This will all be finalised and confirmed for the start of the school year in January.
Stay safe and have a great break, we look forward to seeing you on Monday 8th January. For those who are leaving TISKL, we wish you all the best for the future.
